A cavity barrier is essentially constructed and designed to prevent the spread of fire, smoke and heat-transfer through the void spaces of cavity-walls, floors and ceilings.
Each floor or room can be compartmentalised by installing cavity barriers horizontally and vertically between different floors and rooms. This helps to ensure that the fire is compartmentalised and cannot spread out of control.
