In August, Adept Contract successfully secured the firestopping contract for the Westgate Ventilation Shaft at the Westgate site. This is an exciting project and opportunity for the company, we are really pleased to be working for SCS on the HS2 Programme.

The ventilation shaft at Westgate is located on the Chiltern line embankment, the headhouse building at the top of the shaft will contain the fire control and ventilation systems for the railway tunnels below.

Adept will be responsible for undertaking all the passive fire protection within the Westgate shaft and head house including all penetration seals and fire boarding of structural steelwork. The design commences in August 2023 with works on-site planned to commence early 2024.
