Brent Cross West Station opens

Brent Cross West Station opens

The £419M Brent Cross West train station has opened, making it the first new mainline train station to be completed in London for a decade. The station sits between Cricklewood and Hendon stations on the Midland Main Line and services will travel to St Pancras in 12 minutes. The new station will be transformative for northwest London, better connecting Brent Cross with the rest of the capital and unlocking wider development in the area.

As part of the scheme hundreds of metres of track have been reconfigured in addition to the new station, which has 4 platforms with a single bridge providing access. The Project was built by VolkerFitzpatrick, with Adept managing the design, supply, and installation of passive fire protection measures; structural framing systems, partition walls & ceilings, bespoke architectural metal flashings and external/internal cladding. As part of this project Adept also assisted with the design using the most modern 3d scanning equipment on the market, as well as managing and installing the fixed and hanging planters in the eastern entrance building. Adept had been involved in this project for over 2 years and it’s exciting to have been a part of this project from inception through to construction.
